2SQUARED
Initially commissioned for Coachella 2014, 2SQUARED consists of two 50-foot tall steel trees, each supporting a 30-foot canopy made of 768 LED-lit cubes. Arranged in a fractal pattern, the individually addressable LEDs allow for complex, interactive light displays. A 45-foot base provides seating for dozens of viewers to bask in the glow. Thematically, this futuristic totem represents the merging of organic matter with digital technology, reflecting the universe’s complexity and our emergence into a new “post-nature” age.
